Key Points of the Kender engine (standard engine) |
|
|
|
|
- The solar panel is 80 cm x 250 cm x 6 cm
|
- The stored helium weighs 25 grams approximately. Helium can also be replaced by hydrogen (H2).
- The full helium cycle runs in 0.22 seconds.
- The main 50cc turbine runs at 3'000 rounds per min.
- The system produces 39 kW of power (47 kW by the turbine, less 8 kW for the compressor). That is equivalent to 53 horse power, or enough energy to supply energy for 12 homes.
- The Kender engine requires no consumables or fuels of any kind to operate.
- It emits no CO2 or any other emissions, only cold air.
- It is not dependant on weather conditions.
- It is operational from temperatures of minus 70°c (minus 100°F) to 100°C (210°F).
- The Kender engine is very silent.
- Its functioning is similar to a heat pump or a Sterling engine.
- The thermodynamics involved are the same as for the drinking bird toy (see video).
